Simply steaming them for 10 minutes or so is usually plenty to get the right texture and retain the most in flavor and nutrition. Whatever you do, don't boil your veggies for an extended period of time. This robs them of nutritional value.
Labeling is a waste of time! For the past 20 years there have been gmo labeling “talks” in the USA. Nothing has been labeled yet GMO foods continue to grow! Other countries, many other countries, have already BANNED GMO’s and the US is still tiptoeing with labeling! Seriously?!
What many fail to see is that labeling is wasting time because coexistence between non-gmo crops and gmo crops is a myth! Farmers know that even when miles apart, gmo crops contaminate non-gmo, even organic crops. So, it is quite probable that by the time labeling is done, all crops, including organic crops will be contaminated to some degree, thus making “organic” anything, a thing of the past!
