Omron Fat Analyzer Review. My Body Fat Percent

Weight Loss Tip: When you having a hard time trying to find the motivation to get off the coach and begin exercising, you need to remember that exercise is an investment that will pay off for you and your family in the long run. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for your loved ones.

Omron Fat Analyzer Review. My body fat percentage 9 weeks out. I have used the Omron Fat Analyzer since I started prepping for my first INBA Men’s Physique Competition. When I first started, my body fat percentage on the Omron was 12%. I have gotten reading as low as 6.5%. For the last three weeks, Justin Aryes from RIPE Gym, has been tracking my body fat progress using calipers. There is a bit of the difference from the two readings. At this point in my physique, I am now mainly going to rely on my caliper readings. A lot of the research I found online in regards to the Omron state that the machine has difficulty being accurate with low single digit body fat.

  1. is it accurate? because its hard for me to believe that this little machine can detect body fat percentage in 3min then why do fitness gym carry huge body fat analyzer machine?? Whats your opinion on this?? I want to know before I make a purchase on Amazon

  2. If you have had a hard workout recently the Omron will show you a higher fat percentage. The thing is pretty worthless.

  3. Best measure is body weight divided by waist line measure. The bigger the number the better. For example, if you are 155 with a 29.5 waistline your score would be 5.25 Anything above 5 is decent. Of course, this breaks down a little for people over 6ft. More of their body weight is made up of bone, skin, and blood. Fat and muscle are a smaller total percentage of the body weight of tall people. So while a measure of body weight divided by waist line being over 5 is pretty good, the waistline measure, in inches, should never be greater than half you height.

  4. So you can waste money on one of these inaccurate machines or you can measure your waist with a tape measure to more accurately predict your body fat.
