In this video you will see how to locate a bamboo forest (you need to ask people, or just know where it is. Bamboo produces food all year long and therefore is an incredible food source. By utilizing bamboo you can really make a difference in your grocery bill.

Then go into the forest and find the baby bamboo, which are called bamboo shoots. These will be purple. The best bamboo shoots to harvest are the very wide, but relatively short ones. That are about 2 feet tall and 6 inches wide. You could possibly find larger ones. Some can be 7 feet or taller, which you can still use; but aren’t the best.
